I have been involved at Rata all my working days. The first ten years were mainly focused on engineering and fabrication. A passion for sales and marketing have lead me to now manage this area of the business. Interests include family, mountain hiking, and agricultural technology.

Charlie's days in the agriculture sector started when he was growing up on the family farm - eventually going onto have his own in South Canterbury where he farmed Sheep and Deer. Today he does the kilometres travelling the South Island helping our Dealers supply Farmers with gear that lasts and gets the job done!

I knew I wasn’t a 9 to 5, sit at an office desk and sell boring stuff like pens and pencils type of guy. Landing a job here at Rata Industries provided me with an exciting and hands-on career working with NZ farmers. I began right in the assembly area, giving me valuable knowledge of Rata products, however further studies and an interest in marketing lead me to where I am today.

When I’m not at work you can generally find me hiking, fishing or enjoying a barbeque with the family somewhere in the great South Island.
